A flavor of Linux in your Windows
You can now use Ubuntu, the most popular Linux distribution that is based on Debian, as a normal application from WITHIN your Windows! Wubi - a free and open source software, is the unofficial installer that enables installing and uninstalling Ubuntu as any other application in Windows. There is no need to partition your disk either, as Ubuntu can be saved in any of your Windows drives. During start-up, you can choose to boot either with Windows or Ubuntu (dual boot feature). See these videos and tutorials for more details: Using Ubuntu 7.04 within Windows - CNET video
